How to Make the Classic Old Fashioned
Place 1 sugar cube in a rocks glass.
Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters and 1 tablespoon of water.
Gently muddle until the sugar dissolves.
Add 10–15 mint leaves (optional twist) and stir lightly to release aroma.
Pour in 2 oz rye whisky.
Add one large ice cube and stir to chill.
Garnish with a fresh orange peel, expressing the oils over the drink before dropping it in.
Nikka – Coffey Grain Whisky — A Japanese grain whisky with vanilla, spice, and a bourbon-like sweetness. It has a smooth yet structured profile that adapts beautifully to Old Fashioned builds. Soft, elegant, and lightly tropical.

Shibui - Grain Select Blended Grain Whisky — Well-balanced with subtle oak, spice, and fruit, offering a modern, globally influenced twist on the Old Fashioned without overpowering the bitters or orange zest.
Angostura - Bitters — A few dashes of Angostura bring deep spice, herbal complexity, and just the right bite—anchoring the Old Fashioned with its signature warmth and timeless character.
